Affiliate disclosure

FabricTruth may earn a commission when you buy through some links on this site in the future. Here is exactly what that means.

Right now

As of November 2, 2026, no links on FabricTruth are affiliate links. Every link to a brand is a plain link, and we earn nothing when you follow it or buy.

When affiliate links start

  • If you buy through an affiliate link, the brand or retailer pays FabricTruth a share of the sale. The commission is paid by the seller, not added to your price.
  • Affiliate links will be labeled next to the link itself, in plain words, and this page will be updated with the date.
  • Our picks pages feature the options we think are best, whether or not the brand runs an affiliate program. Each pick still carries a caveat, and each picks page lists the brand's synthetic lines.

What commissions never change

  • Scores are not for sale. No brand can pay to be listed, scored higher or removed.
  • A brand's affiliate status plays no part in its score. A brand with an affiliate program can still score low or fail. See how the score works.
  • If we ever receive a free product or any payment from a brand beyond standard affiliate commissions, we'll say so on the page it affects.

Why we tell you

The US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides use examples very close to ours: a review website that receives payments from sellers for affiliate link referrals, and a blogger whose reviews include affiliate links, should clearly and conspicuously disclose those payments (see 16 CFR Part 255, §§ 255.4 and 255.5).

Counterpoint: a disclosure doesn't make a recommendation unbiased on its own. That is why our scoring method is published and uses no commission data, and why our guides list counterpoints and their sources.
